Today, you will read about Wayne F. Perkins and his conversations with Jamie Clark, a well known Psychic. This is the first of a series of true stories based on conversations he has had with Jamie over the past two years. The stories focus on psychic readings by Jamie directed at  people who have "crossed over to the other side."

The purpose of these stories is to help you understand the remarkable powers of your mind and the connective links we have with people living as well as people on "the other side."

As a professional hypnotist, I learned long ago that people have unique belief systems. People need to have their belief systems respected. As much as we act in the same ways in our daily contact with other people, we are very much different deep down inside. I hope by telling my story you will be encouraged to look beyond what you see and hear and focus on what you "know" deep down inside your being, about yourself and the people you engage with hypnosis.

Note: The stories are all true, however the names are changed. I do not want to offend any relatives of the people mentioned in these stories. Everyone's belief systems need to be respected.

2003

Story #1        The Beginning

It began on a Friday night. I was in the mood to stay home and call it a week. My wife wanted to go shopping at a New Age store over in Scottsdale. I reluctantly agreed to go as I was very tired from a long week and I did not feel like cleaning up and getting dresses to go out.

When we arrived at the store we noticed a Psychic Fair beginning in a large meeting room. A store clerk came over to us and invited us to attend. I felt kind of strange because I really didn't want to be around people tonight plus the fact that we didn't offer to pay an admission fee to get in as the people sitting in the meeting room had.

There were only two seats left, so maybe the store wanted a full house before they began the fair. In any event, we sat down at chairs by the speaker. I felt like I was sitting in the first chair in a classroom nearest the teacher.

Jamie Clark bounded in the room. He was introducing himself to the group and moving around the long table. "I feel a "Dad" energy. His name is Francis." "He says he is with "Ray."

The moment I heard that I thought of my Dad whose name is Francis and his brother or my Uncle Ray. I knew my Dad is alive so I was confused. My Grandfather on my Dad's side however was also named Francis. He died when I was in high school and I only knew him as "Grandpa," not as Francis.

I didn't say anything as I was facing Jamie's back but he quickly whirled around like a baseball pitcher trying to pick a runner off first base. Do you have a Dad named Francis? Jamie asked

I could not tell a lie. "Yes my living Dad's name is Francis but so was his Father who has been deceased for the last 43 years."

Jamie said, "He may be your grandfather but he comes in strong as a father energy." "He says he has been with you for a long time."

"Your Grandfather, let's call him Dad, says thank you for all the prayers." 

I immediately thought about all of the times that I prayed for my friends and relatives that died. I said so many prayers that I became self-conscious about what little feeling I put in them at the time. My words and thoughts were just memorized script. As Jamie continued to explain how my Grandfather was proud of me, I vowed to give praying about the deceased more attention and consideration.

Jamie went on to talk about my wife's relatives who passed including her Mother and a wonderful man who raised her after her Mother died. Then Jamie went on to read other people.

He quickly bounced from one couple to the next talking about significant people that passed to the other side. I stopped listening to Jamie and started focusing on what was going on inside my head. I began thinking to myself about what was going on and trying to talk to my Grandfather. I was thinking about how I appreciated the fact that he was still around and concerned about my life. (He would be about 130 years old if he was alive) I wondered how my belief system about life after death could change in one "conversation."

In the middle of addressing a younger couple sitting opposite us, Jamie whirled around and said, "Dad is telling me, "I never believed in this stuff until tonight. This is fun." Then Jamie said, "Dad is with someone who walks like this..." Jamie began walking dragging one leg behind and holding his arm in close to his body like a football player carrying a ball. 

"That's my Grandma, I said'. She had a stroke when she was 29 years old and was paralyzed on one half of her body." Jamie's face was contorted around the mouth area just as Grandma's had been. This brought back forty year old memories. 

In addition Jamie asked me about other things that went on in my Grandfather's life. I was dumbfounded.

After Jamie's performance that night, I got a business card from him and vowed to call him and set up a private reading. How could he know so much about a man that died over 40 years prior? How did Jamie capture the personality and physical features of people I only recall from memory. (I have never had any pictures of my Grandma and Grandpa, even when I was a child)

I would explore more about the world on the "other side," in my future "Conversations with Jamie."

Summary:

Becoming a good hypnotist takes skill. Becoming a great hypnotist means opening up to new ideas and opening up you mind to new possibilities. I was over fifty-five years old when I met Jamie Clark. Within a few minutes after meeting Jamie, my fundamental belief system changed forever. In addition, by listening to Jamie with an open mind, it moved me from being a good hypnotist toward the bigger goal of trying to become a great hypnotist. I hope these stories assist you in achieving whatever goal in life you wish to achieve.
