Wayne F. Perkins began his journey as a hypnotist beginning in 1976. "I was a musician at the time performing at hotels and night clubs through the Midwest United States. When disco became popular,  musicians were replaced by DJs. I needed to find a viable income quickly.

Fortunately, I learned from Ormond McGill and Gil Boyne as well as other masters of the craft while they were still alive. There were few books to be found and most of those were published by small presses in the 1940s and 1950s.

What about hypnotherapy?

My very first stage hypnotism show was at Plano High School, in Plano, Illinois. This was in 1977. My first college show was at Wabaunsee Community College a few months later. I did not even think about learning hypnotherapy, (hypnosis to help people achieve their goals) until my college audiences began asking me questions after college and university shows. Many students  asked, "how can I lose weight with hypnosis," or "how can I stop smoking?"  Other questions like, "can I find out if I have ever lived before, or how can I overcome my fear of death?" were very common.

Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy were not my specialties at the time. However, my interest peaked.

So I began my journey learning everything I could about hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Since I did not know any practicing hypnotherapists, I had to learn by reading books and trying hundreds of theories out on other people. It took me several years before I offered hypnotherapy. Even though hypnosis represents life long learning for people studying the craft, you can help people the very first day you begin.

This course is designed for people who want to help themselves and help others. You will learn everything you need to help people lose weight, overcome fears and phobias, and program  minds for success. As you help others achieve success, you will achieve success as well.

I went to school at the Hypnotism Institute of Chicago.  Dr. Ed Baron was the instructor and I learned a great deal about presenting suggestions with him. He died a few years later. Later I was Certified by the American Board of Hypnotherapy out of California and the Arizona Society for Professional Hypnosis in Phoenix, Arizona.

Wayne F. Perkins  published several books including. How to Hypnotize Yourself Without Losing Your Mind: A Self-hypnosis Training Program for Students and Educators. This was Wayne's  first. book.  It was published in 1998 by Trafford Publishing and also Author House. It is used by hypnotist educators in over 70 countries! Wayne published two other hypnosis books, How to Hypnotize People and Other Living Things, How to Hypnotize Your Lover to Awaken A Sleepy Relationship. All of the mentioned e-books and the new Professional Stage Hypnotist Training eBook are available for library purchase with an unlimited download license.

In June, 2000 Wayne F. Perkins published  the New York Times Best Seller, A Cheap and Easy Guide to Self-publishing E-books. In 2007 and 2008, Wayne published hypnosis training and stress annihilation training in audio mp3 format to accommodate the vast number of library patrons with mp3 audio players.
